How much is window tinting in Team Valley?
Our prices start at £119 for a 3 door hatchback and go up to £199 for large 4x4s and saloons. The price is fixed for the rear three windows on your vehicle and includes any legal shade plus our Lifetime warranty. There are no hidden extras.
Will I get pulled by the police for tinted windows?
No, not for rear window tints. The rear windows on your car can be tinted to any shade you like, including 5% limo. They are completely legal.
The only reason you'd ever be pulled is if your front windows have been tinted beyond the legal limit of 75% light transmission. All cars come with front windows on the legal limit, so any tint applied to the front would not be road legal in the UK. That's why we don't tint front windows.
Will tinted windows pass an MOT?
Absolutely, 100% yes. It is not illegal to have your rear windows tinted, you can have them any shade that you like.

What does the Lifetime warranty cover?
Our Lifetime warranty covers bubbles, peeling, fading, light gaps, and the tint turning a different colour (most commonly seen turning purple with bad quality films). If any of these happen we re-fit it free of charge for as long as you own the car. It's backed by us and our film supplier and you'll get a printed warranty card with your receipt.
What's the most popular tint shade?
By far the most common is 20% as it never looks too dark and never looks too light. For maximum privacy, 5% is recommended.
The majority of our customers from Team Valley choose 5%. You can decide on the day using the sample piece of glass in our office that shows all the different shades side by side.
How long does the tinting take?
Most rear window tints are completed in around 1 hour. Larger vehicles and full sets take a little longer. You're welcome to wait in our reception or pop two minutes down the road to Tesco, Starbucks or McDonald's while we crack on.
How long until I can put my windows down?
We recommend not putting your windows down for at least 15 days. In an emergency they'll roll down as normal, but in extreme situations rolling them down within the first 5 days could result in the tint peeling.
How long until I can clean my windows?
When you collect your car we will have already cleaned the windows for you. After that we recommend you don't clean the inside of the glass for at least 5 days while the adhesive fully cures.
Will the tint ever peel off?
Our window tints have never been known to peel off by themselves. If you ever do want to remove the tint it's straightforward, lift a corner and pull it off.
If a tint ever did peel off by itself, it would be fully covered by our Lifetime warranty for a free re-fit.
What film do you use?
We use Llumar and Global window film exclusively. Both are industry-leading brands with manufacturer-backed lifetime guarantees. We're the only company near Team Valley that installs Global Window Film. We don't use cheap unbranded film as the small saving isn't worth it when the tint turns purple in 18 months.
