Bought together, fitted together.
Each one stands on its own, and most owners have both. Neither part touches the car's factory wiring, so nothing you add here changes how the Defender behaves as a Defender.
Vented fog lights, square DRL
Aggressive front-end styling with extra road presence and visibility.

How much are the vented fog lights, fitted?
£599 inc VAT (£499.17 ex VAT), supplied and fitted at our Durham workshop. That covers the lights, the dedicated wiring loom and the labour.
They are supplied by Hunters Prestige.
How much is the grille light DRL?
£399 inc VAT (£332.50 ex VAT), supplied and fitted. Both styles are the same price, so pick on looks rather than budget.

What is the difference between OCTA and Double Line?
OCTA is the latest design, a single solid bar with OCTA branding. Double Line is the classic double bar look.
Both are the same price and both come in the same smoked finish. It is purely a styling choice.
Do I need to have factory fog lights already?
No. The vented fog lights work whether you have factory fog lights or DRLs or not, because they run off their own dedicated wiring loom rather than tapping into the factory items.
That means trim level is not a problem, and a lower-spec Defender ends up with the same front end as a higher one.
Will this mess with the car's electrics?
No. The fog lights run off their own dedicated wiring loom and do not interfere with any of the car's wiring or factory CAN bus. The grille DRL adds road presence without touching the factory wiring either.
That is deliberate. Anything spliced into a modern Defender's CAN bus is a fault waiting to happen.
Are they road legal, and will they pass an MOT?
Yes. Both the vented fog lights and the grille light DRL are fully road legal, and there is nothing to switch off or take back out at MOT time.
Worth knowing if you are also looking at the roof light bar, because that one is different. It is not MOT compliant, so it lives on its own switch and has to be off for the test.
Will they fit my Defender?
Both parts fit the Defender 90, 110 and 130.

How long does the fitting take?
Around 2 hours for the vented fog lights, and around 1 hour for the grille light DRL.
Having both done is comfortably a single visit rather than an overnight stay.
Can I have both done at once?
Yes, and most owners do. The two together are £998 inc VAT (£831.67 ex VAT), fitted in the same visit.
If you are adding other work at the same time, the Utopia kits on the main Defender page work out cheaper than buying parts one at a time.
Will this affect my Land Rover factory warranty?
Under UK Block Exemption rules, the manufacturer can only refuse a warranty claim if they can demonstrate a modification directly caused the specific fault.
If you're under factory warranty and want to check first, a quick word with your Land Rover dealer is worth doing. Our 12 month workmanship guarantee covers everything we fit.
Do I need to declare it to my insurer?
Most modifications need declaring to your insurer. Some can affect your premium, others won't. We'd always recommend a quick call to your insurer before booking so you know exactly where you stand on cover and cost.
We supply itemised invoices that make it straightforward to declare what's been fitted.
Where is your workshop and do I need to come to Durham?
Unit 1, Dragonville Industrial Park, Dragon Lane, Durham, DH1 2XJ. We're five minutes from the A1 and easy reach of the A19.
Customers travel from Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Yorkshire and beyond. Easy off-street parking on site.
What warranty do I get on the work?
12 month workmanship guarantee on every install. Parts carry their own manufacturer warranty on top, in this case from Hunters Prestige.
