To ensure the best possible results we only use the highest quality light tinting film, Luxe Lightwrap. This comes in two shades, medium and dark. Upon special request we can provide a lighter alternative but this film hasn’t got the same level of quality. As the lighter film is wet application, some of the more complex lights we can’t tint due to the nature of the film.

With all wrapping we offer 12 month warranty. We only use the best quality wrapping vinyls to ensure that our customers are getting nothing but the best results, our go to vinyl is Luxe Lightwrap.

Unlike window tinting, we only have two different shades available when it comes to light tinting; Medium and Dark. Majority of the time, the medium smoke is just enough to bring your lights down to that shadow edition shade to people are chasing these days. If your going for the dark blacked out look, then we definitely recommend the dark smoke.

At Utopia Tints, we understand that your time is precious. We have worked hard to run our light tinting service as efficiently as possible so that you don’t have to drop your car off and leave, like most other companies. We can tint any car pair of lights in just 30 minutes, all without jeopardising the quality of installation.

While our light tint isn’t near as strong as Paint Protection Film (PPF), It will protect your lights from light debris and swirling. If you do happen to get any light damage to your light tint, the film is self healing with a little bit of heat, ideally from a heat gun.
UK Light Tinting Laws
In the United Kingdom there doesn’t seem to be a fixed law on tinting headlights and tail lights. As long as the output brightness from your headlights is bright enough to see clearly at night and the rear lights are bright enough to see them clearly after the tint then you should be fine. Light still passes through the tint relatively easy.

Rear Light Tints - £95
Light tinting for most cars starts at £95 per pair.
However, for larger vehicles like the Transit Custom, the cost may be higher due to the need for additional materials and specialised vinyl, typically priced at £110. Additionally, cars with large extra reflectors, such as the 2022 Audi Q7, may also result in an additional charge of £20.
Pricing
Front Light Tints - £95
Our standard pricing for front light tints is £95 per pair. Unlike rear lights, we have not encountered any lights that require additional charges as they are usually similar in shape and size.
Please note, when you tint front headlights, some cars headlights may not be as bright once the tint is applied... We recommend only tinting your front lights if your standard lights are very bright.
Fog Lights/Indicators +£15
If you would like to add on extras such as fog lights, side repeaters, reflectors, we usually charge around £15 per pair, this price varies on size and shape.

We choose to wrap lights rather than spray tinting them. This method allows for easy removal of the tint if you wish to do so in the future... Wrapping also provides a more durable and long-lasting finish compared to spray tinting, spray tinting can easily chip if its hit by stones on the motorway. Medium is by far out most commonly chosen light tint shade, it gives a beautiful glossy finish, very similar to that of tinted lights from factory.

The film that we use is dry application, meaning from the minute you leave our workshop in Durham you can wash your car. There’s no drying or curing time, however… Please keep your distance with the pressure washer, you can use a pressure washer but some are very powerful and might cause the corners to lift, we must stress this is extremely unlikely.

Lots of cars are coming from factory these days with tinted lights, they’re definitely not illegally. That being said, if your lights aren’t very bright to start with and you opt for the darker of the two smokes, your light output might not be optimal for night time driving.

Yes. Light tint can be peeled off no problem at all, often leaving no glue at all.
If you want to remove your tint, we can do that for you, we wouldn’t normally charge for light tint removal, if it was originally done by us.

A clean car can help. however it is not vital.
Exterior:
Please ensure your exterior is relatively clean. You don’t need to bring your car absolutely immaculate, but if you have lumps of mud all over it from off-roading, we won’t be able to tint it.
