With all wrapping we offer 12 month warranty. We only use the best quality wrapping vinyls to ensure that our customers are getting nothing but the best results, our go to vinyl for dechroming is 3M 2080 Gloss black.

Dechroming or chrome delete is the process of wrapping the chrome trims/parts on a vehicle with a gloss/satin black vinyl wrap. This process is done to enhance the overall appearance of a car and give it a more sporty and premium look to match the popular "black pack" offered by many car manufacturers.

Colour
99.99% of the time, your chrome trims will look best wrapped in Black, however we can wrap them in any colour you wish.Finish
We mostly wrap trims in gloss black but we can do them in any shade you wish. If your going for the stealthy all blacked out look, we would usually recommend doing them in satin. -
With dechroming, it’s usually a few hours, a bit longer than tinting. Window surrounds usually take an hour and grill surround 30 minutes. You will always get your car back same day.

Once your chrome has been wrapped in 3M vinyl after our dechroming service, you will no longer need to worry about harsh chemicals from car washed damaging your chrome. This is very common in Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the chromes will tarnish after chemicals have been sprayed on them, the vinyl will protect your chrome from this.

Dechroming is bespoke to every vehicle but below we have listed some of the common dechrome prices that we offer so that you have an understanding of the price:
Window Surrounds: £180-£220
Grill Surrounds: £40-£60
Mini Cooper headlight surrounds: £40 per pair
Mercedes handle tops: £20 per handle
A single strip of chrome is usually priced between £15 and £80 depending on shape, location, length and width.

Gloss Black.
Reason being; almost every ‘Night Pack’ from factory is gloss black. All new Tesla’s from 2020 onwards come with a full dechrome from standard, in satin black. -
The vinyl that we use is dry application, meaning from the minute you leave our workshop in Durham you can wash your car. There’s no drying or curing time, however… Please keep your distance with the pressure washer, you can use a pressure washer but some are very powerful and might cause the corners to lift, we must stress this is extremely unlikely.

Yes. Dechrome can be peeled off no problem at all, often leaving no glue.
If you want to remove your dechrome, we can do that for you, just give us a call and we will help you out.

NOTICE: Please do not clean your car for 24 hours prior to a dechroming booking. This is because water will hide in the crevices and stop the vinyl from sticking.
A clean car can help. however it is not vital.Exterior:
Please ensure your exterior is relatively clean. You don’t need to bring your car absolutely immaculate, but if you have lumps of mud all over it from off-roading, we won’t be able to work on it.
